Jesus is the good news.

Four Words that changed my lifeYears ago I ran into a friend of mine ran into me in the streets of Johannesburg. After a quick chit chat he shared with me four words that changed his life recently, and consequently mine as well after that. I remember that exact moment because when he spoke those words, I could literary feel something cut like a knife in my heart. It was so intense that I wanted what he had, even though I did not knew what it was.
Have you ever read a headline and could not resist but to open the link, because behind that one click lies a diamond to be discovered. It seems you just got to have that bit of knowledge and your life will change forever. One secret that will make you rich, one word from God that will answer all your questions. The list goes on and on. Promises and hopes hidden, sometimes free, often with a price.
My friend was in a rush somewhere. But he could never imagine that the four little words he spoke as he ran off to his appointment, would leave me in a spin of my own. I am born again, he said to me, and then he left me there, hanging. It was only two weeks later I finally understood what it meant to be born again by water and by the Spirit. For the first time in my life, my life was filled with joy in my soul. It was a free gift from God, and all I had to do was believe to receive it.
Jesus once told an old man the same thing. Unless you are born again, you cannot see the kingdom of God. Why what's up with that? How is that possible he replied? Jesus said the Kingdom of God does not come by observation. The kingdom of God is within those who believe. God was looking to make his home no longer in Temples built by human hands. No God wanted to live in the hearts of men. He has chosen bodies to be his hands and feet in the earth.
Two thieves were crucified with Christ. One on each side of the King of the Jews. The one on his left joined the crowd cursing and mocking Christ, saying save yourself - others he saved but himself he cannot. But his partner in crime on Christ right side rebuked him, saying we deserve death, but he has done nothing wrong. And then he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom. And Jesus responded to him by saying, today will you be with me in paradise. Allelujah. Just before he died, this sinner found love and forgiveness from a merciful God.
Which side do you want to take today? The one who knew he deserved death for his crime or his unrepented partner who even in the face of death, feared not God but cursed his way into hell forever? Jesus, remember me as well and save me too, I believe you are the Savior of the world, send by God, not to condemn me but to save. I believe you died for my sin, and that God raised you from the dead. Come live in my heart. I believe in you, with all my heart and I praise your holy name, Jesus. Thank God for his gift which is eternal life in Christ Jesus. Your sins are forgiven you. You are now clean, washed in the blood of the Lamb of God, and born again, saved by the love and grace of a merciful kind God who is also an avenger on all who does continue in their evil works. By faith you are now a child of God and no longer the devil's toy. You are precious in His eyes. Keep and protect your faith, for it is precious and in the end has many rewards for you.
For it is written, the just shall live by faith. Tell someone and be a witness for Jesus and his grace, read your Bible (start with John Acts and Romans). Pray every day and find a church where you can live and grow. I release on you and your family now the peace of Jesus till he comes again for you. Watch and pray that you may be counted worthy to escape the coming wrath of God and stand before him without shame, blame or spot.
